Announcing the Brantley Cleaners Back-To-School Drive! We know that there is so much uncertainty going on in the world right now, but one thing is certain, children’s needs do not stop. We are encouraging all our customers, family and friends to participate in our Back-To-School Drive! Essential needs are listed below. All items will be donated to the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. Items can be donated at either of our locations or left with your garment bag for our route customers. We will collect items thru August 7th! We hope you can participate!

Back to school
Clothing for boys and girls – New or Gently Used
Backpacks- New or Gently used
School supplies- Anything will be accepted and can be used
Undergarments for girls (all sizes; all ages)
Socks
New shoes – Any size is acceptable

Toiletries
Kids’ shampoo/conditioner (2-in-1 or 3-in-1)
Body soap/shower gel
Body lotion
Deodorant
Toothpaste/toothbrushes
Feminine hygiene products

Our Services & Cleaning Efforts

We follow cleaning guidelines year-round in an effort to maintain a clean environment for our customers and employees.

Our dry cleaning stores are required to regularly clean and disinfect general common areas of use – door handles, credit card pin pads, counters, etc. We are doing everything to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff members.

Masks – As per requirements issued by the Governor Abbott, individuals entering public buildings must wear a face mask.

Want a more contactless experience?  Our free pickup and delivery service is operating without interruption and provides twice-a-week service.

Services –We continue to offer all services at our stores and via our pick up and delivery, including our popular wash and fold laundry service.  However, same day service for both dry cleaning and shirt laundry is currently unavailable.

Alterations & Repairs – We are available to help with ALL alteration needs. If a fitting is needed, we will provide that while still doing our best to follow all CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of the customer and staff member.

How to take care of your sweaters

Sweater weather is here in Dallas Fort Worth, so it’s time to pull out your sweaters and be sure they’re ready to wear. It may also be a good time to brush up on your sweater care practices.

SWEATER CARE

First, sort through your sweaters. If they weren’t cleaned before you stored them for summer bring them to Brantley Cleaners Addison or Brantley Cleaners University Park.

Wash cotton, silk, and cashmere sweaters every other time you wear them. Wool and synthetic fabrics or blends like acrylic and polyester can go for about five wearings. The exception is a spill or stain. Clean these immediately and follow the label instructions carefully. If you don’t want to bother with the care, you can always bring directly to us!

Dry clean all wool or wool blends. Machine washing wool will damage the fabric and probably ruin your sweater. Either wash or use Brantley Cleaners laundry service for sweaters made from other fabrics. Never wring sweaters. Gently squeeze the water out and lay them flat on a towel. Roll them up to remove excess moisture. Then lay them flat to dry on a clean towel.

Remove jewelry before putting on or taking off a sweater to avoid snags. If you get a snag, bring it to us! We will take care of it for you! We also can reweave and rehem any repairs.

Why to Preserve Your Wedding Gown

Now that wedding season is almost over, time to think about preserving the biggest day of your life forever. You have the pictures and the video in the works, why not your beautiful wedding gown also. At Brantley Cleaners, we can preserve your wedding dress in a beautiful white box with treatment that will prevent it from ever yellowing. Below are a few common questions that most customers ask about this service.

What is Wedding Gown Preservation?

  • Wedding Gown Preservation is a special cleaning and packaging process used to make sure your gown retains it’s original beauty. Once your dress arrives in the facility it goes through our meticulous two week long process which includes hand treatment, through examination for repairs and special stain treatments. After the cleaning process comes the pressing and preserving process. The dress is hand pressed with care and then a special preservation application is applied on the dress to keep it from ever yellowing. At the end of the preservation process, the wedding gown will be boxed up in a keep-sake box. Remember, to bring your dress in shortly after your wedding before the stains from that night settle in.

What are the benefits?

  • The preservation will protect your wedding dress from ever being harmed or destroyed. You will have the option to have it placed in a beautiful white box with a clear window front. We also have customization options available for the box to keep that ever lasting memory. Customization options can include names, dates and picture of the happy couple. This is a great way to keep the dress accessible to look at without damaging it.
